Ratona turned 22 yesterday! Wowsers! We had a small celebration over at her house with ice cream cake. Mom, dad, Zach, Justin, and myself all went over. It was pretty good showing- only Bethany, Mike, and Dani were missing. Ratona seemed to like her cake and Lite Bright. It's just crazy to think that 20 years ago was when the seizures started.. then the brain surgery, then losing speech and all the behavior problems that followed. While it has been difficult, God has taught each of us through it. I think that we are all better people because of it, that we have more compassion for others who hurt because of it. But no sadness! It was a birthday, after all!!
